Pedro J. Garcia is currently an Assistant Professor at the Computing Systems Department of University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), Spain, as well as the Department Vice-Chair. His research interests focus on high-speed interconnection networks for high-performance computing (HPC) systems and datacenters. In particular, he has developed several strategies for high-performance interconnection networks, mainly congestion management schemes and routing algorithms, which have been published in top-ranked journals (IEEE Micro, IEEE TPDS, Elsevier’s JPDC, etc..) and conferences (HPCA, Supercomputing, HIPC, ICPP, etc..).
He has been the coordinator of two research projects, supported respectively by the Spanish Government and by the Government of Castilla-La Mancha, besides participating in other (more than 30) research projects, some of them supported by the European Commission. He has been also the coordinator of a Research & Development Agreement between UCLM and Simula Labs (Norway). He has organized four international workshops (WHTRA, in 2009 and 2011, and HiPINEB in 2015 and 2016), besides organizing a Summer School at UCLM (2010).
